Our story
How VvKR began
Since 2011, a number of travel specialists in the Netherlands have joined forces and founded the VvKR: the Vereniging van Kleinschalige Reisorganisaties, the Dutch association of small-scale travel organisations. The association currently has 547 members.
These experienced specialists stand for a personal approach and are focused on small-scale tourism. Every trip is run in small groups or on an individual basis, and guests often stay in authentic accommodation in unique locations, with respect for local culture, traditions and ways of working.
Our travel specialists set themselves apart through their commitment and their expertise. Whether it is a special trek in the Himalayas, a walking holiday in England, a city break to Paris or a safari in Africa — we represent a richly varied range across many destinations.

Small-scale
Travelling in small groups or on an individual basis, staying in authentic accommodation in unique locations.
Travel guarantee
Every affiliated travel organisation that offers package holidays provides a form of travel guarantee. Should a tour operator unexpectedly go bankrupt, you get your prepaid travel money back in full.
Insured on the road
All of our members carry a mandatory business liability insurance, which covers injury to people or damage to property should anything happen during the trip.
