My love for the blue cruise began in 1992 when I worked for a leading travel organisation specialising in sailing cruises along Turkey's southwest coast.
Since then I've worked in this specific sector of the travel industry, and since 2010 I've had my own company with my own ships based in Bodrum – the Saint Tropez of Turkey.
Unique experience
That love has always stayed with me and turned into a passion that gives me an enormous amount of joy in life. My mission is therefore to let everyone in the Netherlands experience this unique form of holidaymaking. I find a blue cruise such a unique experience that everyone should have it at least once in their life. And it's the crowning glory of my work when people come back completely happy.
Sailing cruise, or a luxury sailing holiday
A blue cruise (I also call it a sailing cruise or luxury sailing holiday) has all the elements that I myself find enormously enjoyable. I mean first of all the freedom you experience when you're in nature and simply go where the wind takes you. But certainly also the relaxed way of travelling around. Because every day you're in a new place, and you don't have to do anything for it yourself. You truly find peace on this trip. The breathtakingly beautiful spots and tiny little harbours you pass are far from all the tourist bustle, and you taste the real culture.
A swim around the boat
Every morning before breakfast I dive off the boat for a lovely swim in the beautiful bays. But I also step ashore in the fishing harbours to poke around a farmers' market looking for new spices to cook with at home.

You experience all this interspersed with azure-blue sea, emerald-green mountains and grey-white rocks, sailing on a beautiful classic mahogany luxury sailing yacht with a very hospitable and knowledgeable captain at the helm.

Besides all the improvements I've made, I'm also incredibly proud that my company is the winner of the Blue Voyage Cuisine Cooking Competition. Because that's the ultimate proof that our service and culinary standard is the very best of all blue cruise gulets.
Our crew does all the work
A cook, steward and sailor are at his side to pamper you and take care of everything all week. There's room for a maximum of twelve guests. You sleep on board and have your own luxury cabin with private bathroom including toilet, shower, washbasin, towels, shampoo and so on. In short, a floating boutique hotel with big sails on it.
Recharge your batteries and escape the hustle and bustle
I'd love to share my passion with everyone in the Netherlands because I know for certain that this holiday will bring so much joy, satisfaction and peace. Something that's sorely needed in our hectic society.
Celebrating a milestone anniversary
I've also heard from so many guests, "oooh, if only I'd known this sooner!" They genuinely regretted not knowing about our existence earlier. It would, for example, have been the perfect trip to celebrate their wedding anniversary together with family… Have you missed that chance too? Then seize the next milestone anniversary to do it after all.
Everyone can join
Of course, a milestone or anniversary celebration is not the only reason to take this sailing holiday, and I don't set any conditions on who comes along. Your age doesn't matter either. Anyone who wants a new adventure off the beaten track is welcome on board. If you book a shared cabin instead of a private boat, I'll find you a suitable group.
